Do after market speakers sound good in a car with noo aftermarket deck and amp?
I am putting 4 speakers in my truck tomorrow and was wondering if they will sound good even without a deck or amp…
they will sound better than the stock ones but don’t expect anything amazing. you will notice better sound quality at moderate to low volumes but at volumes above halfway they will sound distorted because most radios don’t have the necessary RMS wattage to properly power them
i would also install some bass blockers to them http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Product/Group/ProductMenu.aspx?search=bass+blocker&skipvs=T&g=761, protect your speakers from bass distortion and enjoy cleaner sound
